In August and September, Sieda Community Action will offer another slate of Community Relations Group meetings in our seven counties. The quarterly meetings aim to increase public awareness of Sieda’s current programs and help Sieda learn more about the needs of the communities and citizens we serve.

This session of the Community Relations Group will feature information on our County Resource Centers and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. LIHEAP helps heat over 5,000 homes in our region and is a vital service we provide for our communities. Lisa Collins, Assistant Housing Director, will be our presenter for these meetings.

Along with the presentation, there will be a discussion about the heating and energy needs of people with low-incomes and a time for everyone to share what’s going on in the community.

The meetings will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:

  • August 17 – Mahaksa County, Oskaloosa
  • August 18 – Van Buren County, Keosauqua
  • August 30 – Wapello County, Ottumwa
  • August 31 – Davis County, Bloomfield
  • September 7 – Jefferson County, Fairfield
  • September 8 – Appanoose County, Centerville
  • September 13 – Keokuk County, Sigourney

The Community Relation Group meetings are open to any who wish to attend, and everyone who attends will be able to fully participate in the conversation. For more information and to RSVP, please contact Luke Ridout at lridout@sieda.org or 641.682.8741.
