Sieda Community Action is working with Growing Wapello Together to help reduce transportation barriers to food access for families in Wapello County. Thanks to a grant from South Ottumwa Saving Bank, families may receive or a $10 Casey’s gas card to help with travel to local grocery stores (Aldi, Fareway, HyVee North, HyVee South, Walmart) and food pantries.
Eligibility and Guidelines
- To be eligible participants must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines ($36,375 for a family of four)
- Participants may only receive one gas card every 30 days
- For continued eligibility, participants must return a grocery receipt or food pantry verification to Sieda Community Action – Sieda will provide a self-addressed stamped envelope
