At the Sieda All-Staff Meeting on November 18th, Sieda Community Action presented eighteen staff-members with awards given denoting excellence of service and awards given for years of service.

The Sargent Shriver Awards recognize positive behaviors that support the achievement of the agency’s mission, vision, and values and help create a culture of mutual respect and recognition for employees at all levels. There are two separate award categories; the employee of the year award and supervisor of the year award.

The Employee of the Year award honors three individual employees who have no staff reporting to them, such as teachers, administrative assistants, home visitation specialists, etc. The supervisor award honors one supervisor who has one or more direct reports and is in a leadership position within the organization.

The 2016 Shriver Award winners are presented below.

2016 Employee of the Year – Katie Walz Employee of the Year, 1st Runner Up – Noreen Maxwell

Employee of the Year, 2nd Runner Up – Roma Wedlake

   
  Supervisor of the Year – Lynn Godwin, Parents As Teachers  

 

The 2016 Service Awards are presented to staff members who have been employed at Sieda for 25 years, 20 years, 15 years, 10 years, and 5 years, respectively.

25 Years – Carolyn Nathaniel & Ilene Johnson

20 Years – Teresa Evans

15 Years – Sara Whitlow

10 Years – Liz Fairchild, Noreen Maxwell, Kathy Harbour

5 Years – Suzette Van Vark, Kimberly Pace, Kristal Miller, Elizabeth Thomas, Kim Kelly, Tracey Vincent, Glori Headly-Johnson
