The annual Iowa Winter Moratorium rule, which prevents shut-off of such regulated utilities as gas and electric, will end on April 1st.

If your household is anticipating a bill you will not be able to afford due to the moratorium ending on April 1st AND you have not applied for Heat/Energy assistance, please make an appointment with one of our Resource Centers before Friday, March 31st. The LIHEAP program assists with partial payments of energy bills to those who are eligible.

If your household has already been determined eligible for energy assistance payments (LIHEAP) AND you receive a disconnect notice from your provider, call your local Sieda Resource Center for assistance.

April 1st is coming soon, so we advise calling Sieda to explore your options for payment of winter energy bills.
