Parents as Teachers (PAT) participated in STEAMfest September 11th, 2017. STEAMfest was held at the Wapello County Extension location organized by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in partnership with Wapello 4-H and Wapello County Children’s Alliance. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math and was a free event full of fun games, activities, archery, petting zoo, food and drink for PreK to 12th and their families. The goal of STEAMfest was to help inspire the local youth and their families with fun learning experiences.

Sieda’s Parents as Teachers (PAT) Educators Shandy Crook and Jessica Fenton along with the PAT Program Manager Lynn Godwin provided activities as requested for young children. Their targeted learning focus was on science and discovery with homemade activities with PVC tube ball rolling wall and cardboard tube roll.
