Sieda is currently processing all LIHEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program applications for the general public in our seven county offices. Applications may be made at any of the Neighborhood Resource Centers or online from now till April 30, 2018.
The 2017-2018 LIHEAP has been established to help qualifying low-income Iowa homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. The assistance is based on household income, household size, type of fuel, and type of housing.
Wither your household applies online or in person you will need verification of gross household income for the past 30 days or 2016 Federal Taxes, recent gas and electric bills, and verification of Social Security numbers for all household members.
Clients who apply online may go to https://www.sieda.org/energy-assistance-liheap/
To apply online you must have an application on file from the 2016/2017 heating LIHEAP season. Once you are on the Sieda website page on the Home Energy Assistance scroll to the bottom of the page and click LIHEAP Online Application.
If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact the Sieda office in your county or call the main office at 1-800-622-8340 ext. 144 or 151.
