Ottumwa’s Old School Pinball & Arcade and Sieda Community Action are pleased to announce that Sieda will once again be the non-profit partner for the Summer Arcade Party held June 22 to June 24. The Summer Arcade Party is an annual event hosted by Ottumwa’s Old School Pinball & Arcade to bring attention to Ottumwa as the video game capital of the world and to benefit local charities. This years event will help raise money for Sieda and Sieda’s school supply program.
“We are very happy to be partnering with Ottumwa’s Old School Pinball & Arcade again this year,” said Brian Dunn, Executive Director of Sieda. “They have been a tremendous support to our organization over the past year. From donating items for our banquet and silent auction, to their change for Sieda program, to events like this, Ottumwa’s Old School Pinball & Arcade has helped Sieda work to address the causes and conditions of poverty, not only in Ottumwa, but throughout our service area.”
Through May 13, three-day passes for the event are just $13 and are available at Ottumwa’s Old School Pinball & Arcade in the Ottumwa Quincy Place Mall. From May 14 to June 3, three-day passes will be $18. This year the group is also offering a $50 VIP ticket package. This package includes the three-day pass, a commemorative t-shirt, a limited edition trading card, and $10 of the $50 purchase price goes to Sieda Community Action. VIP packages are available through May 31. Ottumwa’s Old School Pinball & Arcade will also hold raffles and other special sales and events during the Summer Arcade Party to raise money for Sieda. Gamers may also bring school supplies to the Summer Party to donate to Sieda’s back to school program.
