Kitty Bogle is with Sieda’s Behavioral Health and Treatment Services Prevention Department. Kitty has been at Sieda Community Action for 17 years and a Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) for 5 years. Hence, as a Prevention Specialist, she uses her knowledge and training to encourage healthy attitudes and behaviors which prevent the abuse of alcohol, substances, and now gambling. The Sieda Prevention Department and Kitty work to empower individuals and communities to develop and implement prevention strategies and educate groups on current prevention information.

For that reason, they regularly train to stay aware of current issues and education. This summer, Kitty attended the 16th Annual Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse in Kansas City. The three-day conference featured sessions by problem gambling, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders experts. Last year more than 200 people attended the conference.
