Sieda Community Action and additional groups in the counties we serve will be holding a variety of back to school resource events. For your county and the event(s) that might be a helpful source of school-supplies please look at the table below. There are many wonderful and generous groups in the counties we serve that are doing what they can to help the families in our communities.

Sieda Community Action holds school supply distributions in several of our counties. If you live in Appanoose, Jefferson or Wapello County you can go by the Sieda Resource Center in that county to pick up an application.

Through this yearly supply distributions, Sieda helps provide school supplies and some backpacks for students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade at no cost to the caretakers. To qualify for school supplies, you must be income eligible or have been approved for energy assistance (LIHEAP).

Fill out the application and return it to your counties Sieda Resource Center on or before the deadline for the school supply distribution. Ask your local Sieda Resource Center for further details about the deadlines and eligibility. Phone numbers are in the table below.

Van Buren County Safe & Healthy Kids Fair
Tuesday, July 30th – 5:00-7:00 pm
Roberts Memorial Center, Keosauqua
No application necessary – All Van Buren County Kids PK-12th grade
Van Buren or Harmony Community School or homeschooled in Van Buren County will receive a free school supply voucher and backpack. There is also free dental screening, books, hygiene items, vision screening, snacks and more.
