It is that time of year when many of our programs will be enjoying community events, fairs, and parades across our counties. Sieda’s Parents as Teachers with the support of the other Family Support Programs held a Dinosaur Play Group Connection. Sieda’s Parents as Teachers (PAT) invited families with young children to come to learn, read, create, interact, and have a great time bonding. As well as PAT Educators, programs Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation (MIECHV), and Family Development and Self Sufficiency (FaDSS) plus staff and their families came in support. It was marvelous to have many families come to enjoy an evening of Dinosaur exploration.
This time, the group was focused on dinosaurs. Many of the children braved meeting our playful T-Rex (no children or dinosaurs were harmed). The volcano successfully erupted, and no lava damage was done to the building. The children hatched dinosaur eggs, plus interacted with a variety of dinosaur digs, toys, games, books, and exploration fun. To sum it up, the event was a time for children to explore, and parents didn’t have to worry about the mess. It was a memorable evening for the children and their parents.
“Thank you for stomping by!”
