Sieda Community Action, a private nonprofit organization serving Southeastern Iowa successfully completed their annual financial audit conducted by Wipfli LLP. The an audit report and financial statements, as audited by Wipfli LLP, reported that the Agency had revenues of $11,020,915 for the year ending June 30, 2019 which was a 2.5% decrease from the prior year. Support included $10,384,754 from governmental contracts, $563,979 from in-kind contributions, and $72,182 from other sources. Expenditures for the Agency totaled $10,854,768 which was a 1.7% decrease from the prior year. Programs administered by the Agency include $684,680 for Weatherization, $2,837,354 for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Programs, $3,538,435 for Head Start, $355,763 for Family Support Services, and $1,430,242 for Substance Abuse Programs.
“I’m very pleased with the outcome of this year’s audit,” said Tammy Hotek, Sieda’s Deputy Director. “Wipfli has a reputation for being a very thorough and conscientious firm. So to have a clean audit from them is a testament to the hard work of our Fiscal Officer and fiscal staff. It also shows Sieda’s commitment to sound financial practices.”
The audit reported no findings or material weaknesses in financial statements or federal awards. Further, there were no questioned costs and Sieda qualified as a low-risk auditee.
