Sieda Community Action is pleased to announce Cardinal Community School District Superintendent, Joel Pedersen, as the Honorary Chair of our 2020 Banquet Committee. The banquet and fundraiser, to be held on March 27, is an annual event held to celebrate the work of the organization and the impact Sieda has in the communities we serve.
“We could not be happier to have Joel as the honorary chair,” said Brian Dunn, Executive Director of Sieda Community Action. “Sieda and the Cardinal School District have worked together for many years to offer a quality preschool experience for families in Wapello County. Sieda partners with a number of school districts across seven counties to bring the Head Start experience to three and four year olds; Cardinal was the first, and has been the blueprint for many of our district partnerships. Joel and the Cardinal School District have been tremendously supportive of Sieda Community Action, and we want to show everyone how much we appreciate that support.”
Sieda’s Banquet Committee continues to work on the event. The banquet will feature remarks from Kayla Powell, music from Cameron Steinbach, along with Superintendent Pederson who said:
“Our preschool partnership with Sieda has been a wonderful opportunity for children and families over the last 12 years. Our program has been recognized by the state of Iowa as an exemplary partnership. I am honored to serve as the 2020 Honorary Chair and hope to see everyone at the banquet.”
