Sieda Community Action and additional groups in the counties we serve will be holding a variety of back to school resource events. For your county and the event(s) that might be a helpful source of school-supplies please look at the table below. There are many wonderful and generous groups in the counties we serve that are doing what they can to help the families in our communities.
Sieda Community Action holds school supply distributions in several of our counties. If you live in Appanoose, Jefferson, or Wapello County you can go by the Sieda Resource Center in that county to pick up an application.
Through this yearly supply distributions, Sieda helps provide school supplies and some backpacks for students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade at no cost to the caretakers. To qualify for school supplies, you must be income-eligible or have been approved for energy assistance (LIHEAP).
