The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division (ABD) is requiring licensees to complete a COVID-19 Compliance Checklist to assist in the implementation of proclamation requirements. The purpose of the checklist is for licensees to certify they’ve read and understood the terms and conditions of the proclamation. The answers to the questions will indicate the operational measures licensees have or will be taking to comply with the requirements as outlined in the proclamation.

The checklist will assist in the event the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division receives a complaint about an establishment. Having information about a licensee’s social distancing operational measures will help expedite the investigatory process to resolve complaints in a timely manner.

If licensees choose not to complete the checklist, an Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division investigator will visit the establishment to verify compliance with the proclamation and determine what other courses of action will be taken as a result of not complying with this requirement.

The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division serves Iowans through responsible and efficient licensing, regulation, and distribution of alcohol. For more information about ABD, visit https://abd.iowa.gov
