Sieda Community Action would like to acknowledge our Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation (MIECHV) Program for an incredible Federal Site Review.

The Federal Site Review is an evaluation of MIECHV programs in the state by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA is the primary federal agency for improving health care for people who are geographically isolated, economically, or medically vulnerable.

Statewide, Iowa was flawless in its delivery and execution of the service as it is intended to be. HRSA collected info from pre-selected representatives from agencies that have MIECHV. Angie Mach was chosen as one of the family support workers to be interviewed by the federal evaluators. Janet Horras, State Home Visitation Director, responded, “I want to send a special thanks to you and Sieda for allowing Angie to help with the site visit and so many other tasks lately.”

Jennifer Huber, Sieda Director of Family Support Services, commented, “Angie did a wonderful job representing Sieda and MIECHV as a whole. Iowa received the highest rating, with no deficiencies or areas of concern, which is ultra-rare.”
