On Tuesday, February 15th, Sieda Community Action hosted a visit from Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks at the Appanoose County Head Start site in Centerville. Appanoose County Head Start Center is one of nine locations supported by Sieda Head Start.

Her visit allowed the Congresswoman to meet with parents, staff, and administration to learn about Sieda’s Head Start program. As well as learn about the collaborative partnership between Sieda Head Start and the Centerville Community School District. In addition, they discussed the importance of funding the Head Start programs.

Samantha Buban, a parent of a 3-year-old Head Start student, also discussed how the Head Start program was valuable. She brought up important points, such as providing quality education, meals, and even transportation for preschool-aged children. Thank you, Samantha, for the support.

It was a pleasure to host Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks!
