Most tobacco/nicotine users say they want to stop, but some continue because it’s a common belief that tobacco/nicotine use helps you relax. When in reality it actually only relieves nicotine withdrawal symptoms, and this relief is only temporary until you crave more nicotine. Over time it actually increases your anxiety and tension, plus the risk to develop depression.
