Sieda Tobacco Prevention wishes to increase public smoking/tobacco cancer awareness. World Cancer Day is held annually on February 4th, and is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). World Cancer Day works to improve awareness and educate others globally on cancer risks. Seeking to prevent, detect, and treat the disease by engaging individuals, organizations, and governments to reduce the barriers and disparities that exist. Cancer caused by smoking/tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of death here in the USA.

The Quitline of Iowa is a free confidential resource with trained counselors available to help adults and youth seeking to be tobacco/nicotine free.
