What is Adult and Family Drug Court?
Sieda Behavioral Health and Treatment Services is an active participant in the Wapello County Drug Courts (Drug Court and Family Drug Court), providing a certified substance abuse counselor to function as a member of the team. Drug Courts works with substance-abusing offenders to help them recover from their addiction and avoid continued involvement in crime. The Drug Court team consists of a judge, prosecutors, defense council, probation/parole officers and treatment providers. Drug Court meets with the participants weekly in court and also requires that they are involved in treatment services, community service, frequent drug testing, and strict supervision.
