Sieda Community Action has released the 2021-2022 Head Start Annual Report. This report describes the work and summarizes information about the Sieda Head Start program.
Sieda Head Start addresses the educational needs of children 3-5 years of age, plus the health, nutrition, social, mental health, and literary needs. Head Start promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children from low-income families. Developmental growth is met through the provision of education, health (medical, dental, mental), nutrition, social services, and transportation. Parents are actively engaged in their children’s learning and planning of Sieda’s Head Start program. There was a cumulative enrollment of 265 children in Sieda’s Head Start Program during the 2021-2022 program year. In addition, blended funding allowed Sieda Community Action to serve an all-encompassing amount of 736 preschool children.
